Project Engineer
Project Engineer’s play a vital role in project planning and construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in accordance with the Plans and Specifications.
This position offers a dynamic blend of office and field tasks, providing valuable hands-on experience on projects ranging from residential piers and floating docks, to large scale heavy marine construction for Federal and State agencies throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Responsibilities- Daily interaction with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Craft personnel to support planning, scheduling, material procurement, and subcontractor management.
- Technical review of Plans and Specifications to ensure compliance with all contract requirements.
- Site inspections for quality, safety, and daily work progress and cost coding.
- Preparation of submittals, RFIs, payment requests, and Change Orders.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
- Previous experience or internship in heavy civil or marine construction is preferred, but not required.
