Position SummaryIntegration Engineer – supports the Technical Direction Agent (TDA) of an innovative program. The engineer will lead systems engineering efforts, chair the Requirements, Architecture, and Design Working Group (RADWG), and provide subsystem integration, requirements analysis, technical coordination, system modernization, and engineering assessments for Navy tactical systems and undersea warfare platforms.
Responsibilities- Support subsystem integration and requirements analysis for submarine combat systems, payload integration, and future capability development.
- Lead system modernization and engineering assessments for Navy tactical systems and underwater warfare platforms.
- Chair the Requirements, Architecture, and Design Working Group (RADWG).
- Coordinate with government and industry stakeholders across multiple organizations.
- Ensure high‑quality systems engineering deliverables, technical integrity, and readiness for fleet deployment.
Onsite – Newport, RI (travel less than 10%).
Security ClearanceSecret required.
Required Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant Navy or DoD systems engineering experience.
- Experience supporting submarine combat systems, tactical systems, payload integration, or undersea warfare programs.
- Experience with systems integration, requirements analysis, configuration management, or related systems engineering processes.
- Familiarity with Agile development, SECDEVOPS processes, and requirements traceability tools like JIRA.
- Working knowledge of Navy Combatant Systems, preferably AN/BYG-1 subsystems.
- Experience supporting Navy acquisition, modernization, or technical integration efforts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced technical environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience supporting AN/BYG-1 combat systems.
- Experience supporting PMS 425, NUWC Newport, or submarine warfare programs.
- Prior experience supporting tactical systems integration or payload modernization initiatives.
- Experience working with major contractors such as General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, or Navy warfare centers.
- Prior Navy submarine operational or technical experience.
- Experience supporting future capability integration and modernization efforts.
- Ability to support technical engineering discussions involving submarine combat systems.
- Experience coordinating across government, military, and industry stakeholders.
- Knowledge of SWFTS processes and coordination with government program offices.
