Hardware Engineer - US Navy Programs; Security Clearance

GVI Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Hardware Engineer – US Navy Programs to join our team in Newport, RI. We are looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to support critical U.S. Navy defense programs involving advanced undersea warfare systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the development, testing, and deployment of undersea technologies that enhance naval war fighting capabilities and mission readiness.

• Lead the development, fabrication, delivery, and testing of prototype hardware systems.
• Integrate hardware into laboratory and operational shipboard environments.
• Develop and revise hardware integration plans.
• Support hardware delivery and acceptance testing activities in accordance with Navy test plans.
• Develop and update hardware documentation, incorporating changes from Engineering Change Proposals, specification modifications, and test activities.
• Investigate and analyze hardware faults and failures, performance degradation, operational anomalies, requirement deviations, and system operability issues.
• Perform root‑cause analyses and develop corrective actions, evaluate alternative solutions, and recommend system upgrades.
• Conduct engineering trade‑off studies assessing technical performance, program risk, cost, and schedule impacts.

• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance.
• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Towed, Hull and Sensor Systems hardware engineering.
