Seeking a Configuration and Logistics Specialist to support Configuration Management (CM) and Integrated Logistics Support in the cutting‑edge Submarine Launch Unmanned Aerial System (SLUAS) program s role is at the forefront of bringing an emerging Navy capability into full operational readiness by shaping the systems, documentation, and configuration standards that support this program.

The Configuration and Logistics Specialist will regularly collaborate with engineers, program sponsors, logistics teams, and Navy partners to ensure SLUAS installations remain accurate, aligned, and fully supported. This is an exciting opportunity to solve complex challenges, build structured systems, and contribute to the future of unmanned capabilities within the Navy in a new program of record.

  • Lead the tracking and management of SLUAS hardware and software configurations across multiple submarine platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and improve configuration records in Navy-wide databases, helping shape the SLUAS program's official technical baseline.
  • Obtain and manage access to Model-Based Product Support (MBPS) tools to support logistics integration.
  • Develop, refine, and formalize ILS products essential to SLUAS' transition to a formal Program of Record (PoR).
  • Coordinate the creation, updating, and distribution of SLUAS Technical Manuals and their delivery to Fleet partners.
  • Generate and support Engineering Change (EC) and Temporary Engineering Change (TEC) documentation alongside Unmanned Systems team members.
  • Organize, edit, and maintain structured CM/ILS documentation packages to support engineering, sponsor, and Fleet requirements.
  • Collaborate regularly with NUWC Keyport, Naval Sea Logistics Center, program sponsors, and cross-functional teams to align deliverables and support operational objectives.
  • Support additional CM/ILS tasking that contributes directly to SLUAS program growth and readiness.

Prior experience in Configuration Management or Integrated Logistics Support or similar tasks, particularly within DoD or Navy programs.

  • Familiarity with Navy technical documentation standards, MBPS environments, and PoR transition requirements.
  • Understanding of engineering change processes and document lifecycle management.
  • Navy, military, or DoD experience.
  • Able to work collaboratively.
  • Data management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Able to create and adhere to schedules necessary for Fleet readiness.
  • Strong writing and process management skills.

This position requires the ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and required access to all worksite locations. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens. Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment.
