Newport Craft is looking for a Brewer / Cellar Person to join our team at our facility in Newport, Rhode Island. This role is responsible for the company’s daily wort production and cellar operations. As a part of the Brew Team, this role is also responsible for collaborating on new recipes, process improvements, and improving the overall efficiency of NCBD’s production brewery.

Brewers are collectively responsible for ensuring the highest quality product for all distribution markets.

Position and Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the facility
  • Escort guests to their assigned tables or rooms
  • Provide menus and assist guests with any questions or special requests
  • Manage waitlist and reservations, ensuring efficient seating arrangements
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area Coordinate with servers, bar staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with taking phone reservations and inquiries
  • Process payments and provide accurate change using the POS system
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in food service, guest relations, or hospitality preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with poise
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of basic phone etiquette and customer service principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
