XSITE LLC is looking for a Network Systems Developer to join our team in RHODE ISLAND to support the NUWC NEWPORT Code 25 CANES Tactical Networks office/contract.
We are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned company headquartered in San Diego. We provide full spectrum systems and systems-of-systems engineering and integration services and solutions for space, C5
ISR, cyber and enterprise information systems. Our core capabilities include AI/ML, Software Development & Sustainment, Systems Engineering (including MBSE), and Modeling & Simulation.
We are seeking a Network Systems Developer to support submarine network modernization efforts. In this role, you will develop software updates and new features for the submarine tactical network based on agile processes and emergent fleet requirements. You will also implement automation tools, conduct regression testing, perform compatibility assessments for system upgrades, and ensure cybersecurity compliance throughout development activities
Responsibilities- Develop software updates and new features to enhance submarine Tactical Network system baselines, delivering updated load plans and procedures in alignment with program schedules and fleet needs.
- Implement automation tools for network systems maintenance, installation, and testing to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort across the program.
- Conduct regression testing on pre-production network system builds, track and document discrepancies, and provide clear recommendations for resolution.
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance during all development, integration, and upgrade activities tomaintainthe security posture of the tactical network.
- Support system upgrades by assessing End-of-Life replacement components for compatibility,developing and executing test plans and procedures, and summarizing results to inform program decisions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science , Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Two (2) years of experience developing software solution sand updates for submarinenetworks with software development and configuration management tools
- Experience in Python, Markdown, RHEL,Windows Server, Windows Client,MECM, Power Shell, DoD PKI, VMWare,Ansible, Cisco Network Hardware, Cisco Virtual Appliances, NETSEC, VEEAM,Aruba and Cloud computing
- Experience with Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Exchangeand User Data
- Experience implementing DoDcybersecurity and STIG requirements
