Computer Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software programs.
• Provide support for installation of computers and computer-related equipment.
• Apply the principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of software and systems.
• Analyze users’ needs and design, construct, test, and maintain computer applications software or systems including software for operating systems, network distribution, and compilers.
• Conduct troubleshooting and solve technical issues.

• Master's level degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with a field of concentration in computer science.
• 7+ years of professional experience in computer design, software development or computer networks.
• US Citizen with a DoD Secret clearance or able to obtain a DoD secret clearance.
• Experience using NAVWAR software related procedures on submarines, surface, or shore installations.
• Experience in technical writing and documentation.
• Experience using the NAVWAR System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) Preparation and Execution Guide (SPEG) instruction on submarines, surface, or shore installations.
• Experience in submarine software installations or installation of networked systems on Navy platforms.
• Experience using the PEO C4I AI process in lab environments in support of submarines or surface ships.

• Prior work experience directly supporting NUWCDIVNPT Code 25 submarine Tactical Networks programs.
• Familiarity with CANES (AN/USQ-208), SubLAN (AN/USQ-177), ADNS, and Tactical Networks Next Generation (TN Next Gen) architectures and modernization roadmaps across SSN, SSBN, and SSGN platforms.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications.
