Software Developer

You will perform work in the design, construction, operation, and analysis of software systems.

You will apply computer science/engineering concepts, principles, and methods in the architecture, requirements, design, and development and modification of software programs.

You will develop and implement test procedures and routines to verify correct implementation and validation of software simulation programs.

You will provide project level technical support services to supported systems and research commercial off-the-shelf software and tools, as applicable.

You will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing a solution to improve the storage of data inputs and outputs from the simulation software.

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the

Functional Area

and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established time frames.

This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Software Developer, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band ND-03 (GS-9/11 equivalent) in the Federal service, or in the public or private sector as a professional scientist analyzing or computing modeling for the development of undersea programs or technologies.
