OLH Technical Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, a federal government contractor, is seeking a Media Specialist to join the team in Newport, Rhode Island.
This position supports a 24‑hour operation and requires shift work. Available schedules may include first, second, or third shift, as well as occasional weekend work based on business needs. Any hours worked on Sunday are paid at one and a half (1.5) times the regular rate of pay. Each shift includes a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break.
- 1st shift: 7:30 am – 4 pm
- 2nd shift: 3:30 pm – 12 am
- 3rd shift: 11:30 pm – 8 am
Maintains functionality (expiration dates, incorrect labeling, etc.) for a variety of media sources, e.g., tapes, cassettes, microfiche, film, and compact disks/DVDs, in addition to introduction of new media technology.
Troubleshoots and resolves media errors and data processing problems; lower-level media specialists focus on preplanned procedures when troubleshooting, while higher level media specialist may deviate from standard operating procedures.
Maintains library of media (tapes, cassettes and microfiche), which presents few difficult data processing problems (e.g. damaged media or misplaced media).
Data processing problems, applies data processing or corrective procedures, refers problems which do not have preplanned procedures, and works under general supervision of the higher-level Media Specialists.
Position RequirementsUS Citizen is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance or higher.
High school diploma.
Compensation: $22.81 per hour plus $5.09 Health & Wellness stipend.
