Logistician
McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) has an immediate opening for a full time Logistician in support of NUWC Division Newport.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the Ordinance/Explosive Inventory at Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport as well as managing, maintaining and operating the Ordinance Information System (OIS) database, which includes, managing, tracking and reporting all receipts, issues, expenditures, requisitions, relocations, updates and modifications of all Navy Ammunition Logistics Code items.
- Conducting training in regards to NUWC's Inventory Procedures and Standards, supplying technical advice to technicians, as well as providing aid in requisitioning, issuing and reporting procedures and material sentencing guidelines.
- Responsible for all disposal of Navy Ammunition Logistics Code and National Stock Number (NSN) material.
- Performing certification of all empty Navy Ammunition Logistics Code containers leaving NUWC. Responsible for compiling and submitting all Non-Combat Expenditure Allocations (NCEA) required at NUWCDIVNPT.
- Planning and coordinating all facets of material movement of all classified and unclassified assets.
- Following all Navy policies in reference to destruction of classified assets.
- Responsible for the safe handling and disposition of all Navy owned assets.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. Ideal experience will have been gained in support of similar supply support functions for a Department of Defense organization.
- Prior experience supporting NUWC Division Newport is a plus.
- Prior experience with Navy ERP is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of the customer organization.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
