Program Overview: The Naval Array Technical Support Center (NATSC) is a U.S. Navy facility operated by Leidos that provides repair, refurbishment, upgrades, and testing for Navy towed sonar arrays.

The successful candidate will support the Operations and Logistics Department by performing material forecasting and procurement activities for NATSC in Newport, RI.

• Research material requirements.
• Forecast quantities based on operational requirements and historical usage trends.
• Track status of purchase orders.
• Research compliant vendor sources and place or assist with material orders.
• Ensure procured materials conform to technical specifications and program requirements.
• Follow all program and customer processes and procedures to maintain data control systems.
• Create, monitor, and track orders within customer-supplied online systems.
• Provide proactive oversight to ensure material availability and prevent operational downtime.
• Maintain accurate inventory and stock levels.
• Identify and communicate inventory shortages to key stakeholders.
• Support continuous workflow through effective materials management and coordination.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience in logistics, materials planning, inventory management, or a related field, including experience with:
  • Material order creation, tracking, and status monitoring.
  • Inventory management and stock control.
  • Identifying and reporting material shortages.
  • Coordinating material availability to support operations.
  • Working within inventory, procurement, or customer-based systems.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (2013, 2016, or newer).
• Experience working with computer- or network-based documentation systems.
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

• Active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Prior work experience at the NATSC Towed Array Depot Repair Facility.
• Experience with material requirements forecasting and standards compliance.
• Experience performing online database entry, updates, and data retrieval.
• Functional understanding of material specifications, obsolescence, and suitable substitutions.
• Familiarity with Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport operations.
• Knowledge of DoD data systems security and information assurance policies and procedures.
