The Kids Clubhouse Childcare Director is responsible for planning, directing and supervising all operations, programs, staff and partnerships for members ages five through thirteen enrolled in the Kids Clubhouse childcare program in Newport, RI. This person will create an environment that is safe, structured and engaging for our club members. Ideal candidate will have experience improving quality, growing capacity, and building a high functioning team.

Pay: 68,
Expected hours: 10am-6:30pm
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, some weeknights and weekends for special events
- Oversee the implementation of a quality and comprehensive program plan utilizing tools and strategies set forth by the Boys & Girls Club of America, local and federal funders and the RI Department of Education
- Ensure that programs are properly supervised, staff are appropriately trained and are equipped with the supplies needed to implement a high-quality program experience
- Ensure a safe and respectful environment. Orient staff/members and ensure adherence to club rules, policies, expectations, and emergency/safety protocols. Ensure all safety equipment and supplies are inventoried, stocked and in its assigned location.
- Actively recruit and build membership to achieve maximum engagement and revenue goals. Collect and aggregate data through our member management system, My Club Hub, and club developed dashboards to demonstrate success
- Ensure that the Club is represented at community building activities, meetings and professional development opportunities
- Oversee behavior management processes and implement an incentive plan to motivate youth to participate in programs/services, act responsibly and improve skills that impact youth success. Create an environment that highlights member achievements
- Oversee DHS billing and financial management of weekly childcare fees
- Define, develop, track and monitor KCH goals related to quality, attendance and revenue and implement a plan to achieve stated goals
- Ensure program staff abide by the Childcare regulations for licensure. Compile all required documentation
- Assist in the evaluation of club‑wide programs and services. Evaluations include the Formula for Impact, Bright Stars, National Youth Outcomes Initiative and RIPQA
- In coordination with the Director of Operations and Member Experience, support hiring, orientation, training and supervision of program providers and staff
- Oversee program activities, staff scheduling (efficiency and safety focused), budgets and daily operations. Monitor budget and ensure adherence to grant expectations and internal strategic priorities
- Establish and maintain contact with program partners, vendors, local business, housing developments and others to publicize programs and create a premier program experience for all youth
- Oversee summer learning programs that benefit KCH participants and assist in the preparation, training and operations of Camp Grosvenor
- Assist with major fundraising efforts including events, community and in person engagement and written requests, recruitment, solicitation or follow up calls, vendor calls, and other calls
- Assist in the expansion of KCH programming as it aligns with the BGCNC strategic plan
- Ownership, administration and responsibility for overall licensed childcare program
- Support overall mission of BGCN and provide leadership, demonstrate active participation in team activities
- Support peers with family engagement events
- Create and maintain a staff professional development schedule. Ensuring reporting staff fee supported and growing professionally
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in youth development required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in childcare program administration and management
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a youth development related field required
- Citizenship, residency or work VISA in the United States required.
- All staff are expected to assist with our major fundraising events and in our fundraising activities
