Experienced Sous Chef – Breakfast & Lunch (Food Services)

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, maintain high standards of food quality, support menu execution, and help lead a dedicated back‑of‑house team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station, practice good safety and sanitation
  • Assist with cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
  • Maintain inventory control
  • Be available to work overtime when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
  • Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area
  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately
Technical and

Physical Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2 years experience preferred
  • Relevant certification a plus
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift, rotate and reach
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Any skills considered standard that a Cook should possess
