Overnight Grocery Stocker

Position Overview

Overnight Stocker – responsible for unloading trucks, stocking shelves and displays, rotating products, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean, organized store for early‑morning customers.

Tuesday–Friday: 7:00 pm – 3:00 am
Saturday: 6:00 pm – 2:00 am

• Unload and bring products onto the sales floor.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and freezers with new items.
• Complete all stocking tasks before the store opens.
• Implement FIFO rotation of products.
• Keep shelves and displays neat, clean, and easy for customers to shop.
• Refill endcaps, sale areas, and busy sections of the store.
• Open boxes, sort products, and keep the stockroom organized.
• Scan items or enter information into the store’s inventory system when needed.
• Remove damaged, expired, or incorrect items from the shelves.
• Notify a supervisor when items are running low or when there is excess stock.
• Sweep, mop, and keep aisles and work areas clean.
• Dispose of cardboard, plastic wrap, and trash during the shift.
• Keep product areas free of clutter and debris.
• Assist early‑morning customers in finding items if requested.
• Report product problems or customer concerns to supervisors.
• Follow all safety rules when lifting, moving items, or using equipment.
• Operate pallet jacks, carts, and other store equipment safely.

• Require standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving throughout the store for extended periods.
• Involve lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling products, boxes, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Include repetitive physical tasks such as lifting, stocking, and breaking down boxes.
• Work in a variety of temperature conditions, including refrigerated and freezer environments.
• Overnight shifts are part of the regular schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment with frequent physical activity.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, cardboard dust, and standard retail equipment may occur.
• Require maintaining awareness of surroundings and following all safety procedures.

• No prior experience required – training will be provided.
• Willingness to learn new tasks.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to consistently meet nightly stocking and case‑count goals.
