Overnight Grocery Stocker/Warehouse Worker

Rate: $17.75 per hour

Shift: Tuesday – Friday: 7:00 pm–3:00 am;
Saturday: 6:00 pm–2:00 am

No experience required. The position is open to applicants who qualify for the Ability One Program, a federal program that supports adults with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload trucks and bring products onto the sales floor.
  • Stock shelves, coolers, and freezers with new items.
  • Work with the overnight team to finish all stocking tasks before the store opens.
  • Rotate products so older items are used first (FIFO).
  • Keep shelves and displays neat, clean, and easy to navigate.
  • Refill endcaps, sale areas, and busy sections of the store.
  • Open boxes, sort products, and keep the stockroom organized.
  • Scan items or enter information into the store’s inventory system when needed.
  • Remove damaged, expired, or incorrect items from shelves.
  • Notify supervisors when items are running low or when there is excess stock.
  • Sweep, mop, and keep aisles and work areas clean.
  • Dispose of cardboard, plastic wrap, and trash during the shift.
  • Keep product areas free of clutter and debris.
  • Assist early‑morning customers in finding items if they ask.
  • Report product problems or customer concerns to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety rules when lifting, moving items, or using equipment.
  • Use pallet jacks, carts, and other store equipment safely.

A Day in the Life:

  • Check in with your team leader to learn your assigned aisles.
  • Unload delivery trucks, sort items, and prepare shelves.
  • Stock items on shelves, ensuring labels and dates are correct.
  • Verify prices and signs match items.
  • Remove damaged or expired items and notify your leader.
  • Maintain clean aisles by breaking down empty boxes and disposing of waste.
  • Set up displays or prepare for seasonal changes.
  • End the shift by sweeping, putting away leftover items, and checking for readiness.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

  • No experience required – on‑the‑job training provided.
  • Valid RealID.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government base access.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Availability for nights and weekends.
  • Consistent ability to meet nightly stocking and case‑count goals.
  • Positive attitude and respect for coworkers.
  • Good communication skills.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

  • Standing, walking, bending, reaching, moving throughout store for extended periods.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling products, boxes, and equipment up to 50 pounds.
