Position Summary: The part‑time (PT) Sales Associate II (Sales Lead) supports the store with the execution of the daily business, customer engagement, store operations, and merchandising standards. This position is a member of the store leadership team and has the key role of ensuring the highest level of customer engagement. It relies on instructions and pre‑established guidelines from the Store Manager and supports the leadership team in fostering a positive work environment that ensures both internal and external customer satisfaction while maximizing productivity and profitability.

The role provides sales and performance‑related feedback to the store manager and serves as the key‑carrying position, assuming responsibility for the store in the absence of another manager. Opening and closing duties are also performed as required by business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Supervision: Follows direction of store management to maximize sales and achieve goals, supports a productive environment by leading customer engagement on the sales floor, and acts as Manager on Duty when the sole member of management is in the store.
  • Brand Experience / Customer Service: Ensures excellence in service by modeling brand‑specific standards, responding to and addressing all customer concerns quickly when acting as Manager on Duty, embraces the brands by wearing them at work, greets each customer, actively engages customers with open‑ended questions, assists in the fitting room, and suggests the best products for customer needs.
  • Operations, Loss Prevention, and Safety: Monitors that all company and store policies, processes, and procedures are followed, reports concerns directly to the Store Manager, delegates tasks to associates as needed to maintain operational excellence, and reacts quickly to all customer and associate injuries in partnership with Store Manager and Human Resources.
  • Visual Merchandising: Ensures visual merchandising standards for the store are maintained.
  • Human Resource Management: Regularly communicates any associate concerns directly to the Store Manager and supports the Open‑Door Policy.
  • Store Culture: Models behavior that respects background, experience, and unique differences of others, upholds the integrity and values of Kontoor Brands, promotes an environment that encourages participation, creativity, and learning, continuously seeks ways to make the store sustainable, and embraces the purpose, mission, and values of the company.
Job Requirements
  • Must be 18years of age or older.
  • 1+ years of retail experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
  • Proven ability to multi‑task.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs; requires weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Essential Functions
  • Operate office equipment and technology (e.g., cash register, computers, phones, scanners).
  • Stand during scheduled shifts for up to 8hours.
  • Walk and move to assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and restore store order.
  • Lift and carry up to 25lbs. regularly and up to 50lbs. occasionally.
  • Push/pull full racks of merchandise for restocking.
  • Reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items from shelves, restock, and maintain cleanliness.
  • Occasional manual labor to assemble displays and re‑arrange store layout.
  • Accurately read labels, assist customers, and perform tasks requiring attention to detail.
  • Use fine manipulation skills to sort and organize clothing (e.g., place on hangers, fold, organize by color/size).
