Department Manager ($10-20M) - Consumables

Manages sales activities in assigned retail and or mall services departments. Ensures departments are appropriately stocked attractively displayed and adequately staffed to achieve sales goals and service standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Executing retail and or assigned mall services business strategies procedures and policies
• Ensuring department is fully stocked and merchandise is attractively displayed
• Adhering to corporate visual merchandising standards
• Coordinating stock replenishment with backroom and procurement personnel
• Establishing and implementing an effective customer relations program
• Reviewing department’s merchandise stock structure and providing recommendations
• Controlling scheduling to ensure staffing levels and payroll expenditures are appropriate
• Supervising, training, and motivating assigned sales associates
• Keeping current regarding industry market trends
• Implementing best practices
• Exercising tact good manners and courtesy when serving and assisting customers and fellow associates

Experience required:

• 3 years general experience in administrative clerical retail sales or other related work
• OR substitution of education for experience: 1 year of academic study above high school level may be substituted for each 9 months of experience
• AND 1 year specialized experience in merchandise controls inventory stock record keeping and reports exempt or non-exempt supervisory experience merchandise display and retail promotions or experience in the area of customer relations
