Responsibilities
- Governance & Calibration of all audit types (approval, risk based, CAP, target) to ensure consistent standards, clinical policy alignment and a robust governance framework across benefits.
- Independent Audit (DWP) Review, Challenge & Escalation. Triage IA feedback, accept/challenge trends using evidence and policy, manage escalations, and maintain effective external relationships.
- Clinical Interface & Policy Implementation. Provide expert clinical advice to Operations/Clinical Excellence. Supporting implementation of clinical standards and policy. Identifying and escalating clinical risks. Contributing to quality related elements of appraisals.
- Training, Development & Assurance of Auditors. Design/deliver calibration sessions, induction and ongoing capability building. Providing sensitive but robust constructive feedback to drive consistency and reduce error rates.
- MI & Insight for Quality Improvement. Analyse audit outcomes and operational MI to identify themes, coachable trends and systemic risks. Producing actionable insights for assurance teams and clinical/operational leaders.
- Audit Delivery & QA Sampling (as required). Conduct audits and QA sampling to maintain calibration accuracy. Providing timely coaching/feedback to minimise workflow delays and customer impact.
- Maintain Clinical Approval & Professional Standards. Maintain clinical approval by completing the minimum number of assessments needed for continued accreditation, undertaken at intervals that support clinical consistency. Complying with CPD/revalidation. Consistently modelling best practice and continuous improvement.

- Qualified health professional with current registration/license to practice and continuous professional development compliance.
- Competent Disability Analyst in relevant benefit type, maintained approval and consistent performance in key role responsibilities.
- Substantial experience in clinical audit (including governance/calibration) within disability assessment or a comparable setting.
- Proven experience in reviewing, interpreting and objectively challenging Independent Audit feedback referencing clinical policy and evidence.
- Qualified to perform CHDA case audits and able to instruct on writing reports that meet "A grade" requirements.
- Proven experience designing/delivering calibration, training and clinical development for auditors and healthcare professionals.
- Strong MI/analytics capability, with attention to detail, to identify trends and generate actionable insights.
- Experienced coach and mentor, providing sensitive but robust constructive feedback, driving quality improvement.
- Up to date knowledge of WCA/PIP/SB clinical policy with consistent CPD/revalidation and adherence to governing body codes of conduct.
- Experience clinically supporting a team of health professionals and/or leading clinical change initiatives.
- Advanced MS PowerPoint/Excel for insights and reporting.
- Cross benefit calibration and multi lot governance experience.
