Security Specialist (special Access Prog

• You will be responsible for the organization and planning of security programs which affect Special Access Programs and the Command's Sensitive Support Program with access to additional classified material control systems.
• You will continuously evaluate and identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to a variety of complex operational activities.
• You will ensure compliance with directives and integration with other security and related programs.
• You will develop new security policies and guidance for management and execution of Navy and/or Joint classified Special Access Programs.
• You will advise top level agency officials on new developments and advances in security systems, methods and techniques.
• You will conduct evaluations of classified Special Access Program Management and oversight programs and Sensitive Support Programs.
• You will serve as the technical authority and liaison for all actions within area of responsibility.
• You will advise and assist Naval War College Senior Leadership on special access program and sensitive activities management and execution issues.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position and requires DoD certification. Selectee must obtain and maintain certification within prescribed time frames. Certification required is: SPSC-Special Program Security Cert.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Managing enterprise-level Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security programs;
2) Leading multifunctional SAP compliance inspections and advising senior leadership on security risks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies;
3) Resolving complex conflicts among security directives, classification guides, and operational requirements across the full SAP lifecycle; and
