Position: Installation Engineer - Linear Accelerators - Southern US

Overview

Join us in healthcare technology as a field-based professional installing and servicing complex medical systems. You will perform on-site installation and provide high-visibility customer support for linear accelerators and imaging systems, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and operation training. You will maintain professional and safety standards in accordance with guidelines and customer regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site installation and commissioning of linear accelerators and imaging systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair complex equipment and systems; verify operational quality of equipment.
  • Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of the system.
  • Serve as the company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
  • Interpret customer needs and facilitate resolutions across functional boundaries.
  • Support field activities across system hardware, software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking installations and upgrades, following technical documentation and company guidelines.
  • Demonstrate equipment operation and specifications per Customer Acceptance Procedure (CAP).
  • Advise customers on spare parts, service requests, and emergency or contractual services to ensure proper operation of their equipment.
  • Provide guidance on locating and understanding Customer Technical Bulletins and their importance.
  • Input detailed records of installation and upgrade work into company information systems for accurate documentation visible to other functions.
  • Maintain professionalism and safety according to company and customer guidelines; operate under safe conditions.
  • Manage parts inventory and ordering for installations, including replenishing spare parts kits and handling returns per procedure.
  • Maintain technical documentation on operating characteristics, design factors, and performance for continual improvement of installation efficiency.
  • Complete installation documentation and update data for tracking purposes.
  • Use escalation procedures and request technical assistance in a timely manner as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 2-4 years related experience or Associates/Bachelor’s degree in a related program preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical engineering, RF energy producing devices, and electronic cooling systems.
  • Proficiency with test equipment used for verification and calibration of electronic equipment.
  • Basic networking skills to integrate machines onto customer servers.
  • Customer-focused attitude; strong interpersonal communication; fluent in English (written and spoken).

  • Role may require vendor credentialing; eligibility to meet client access and ongoing requirements is necessary.
