Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Job Summary: SEACORP is seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Mid‑Level Software Engineer to join our growing team. The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, implementation, and testing of software solutions that support critical Navy defense applications. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers in a professional and technically focused environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participates in an agile development and testing process to produce reliable software solutions for critical Navy systems.
- Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to software and event‑driven problems.
- Participates in all of the software disciplines available including UI, Infrastructure, and back‑end development.
- Interfaces with Management, Software Engineers, Cybersecurity, and End Users to generate thorough solutions to problems.
- Is self‑motivated to uncover software issues, explore solutions to resolve them, and can communicate the issues and solutions with the team.
- Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Updates or enhances existing software capabilities.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience and proven performance in software engineering, including problem analysis and resolution, requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing.
- Proven knowledge and experience around object‑oriented programming.
- Experience with C++, C#, and SQL.
- Experience with an Agile development process.
- Candidate should be familiar with Git and Visual Studio.
- Previous DoD experience and a security clearance are highly preferred.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.
