Route Driver - Class A or B CDL

Our Newport, RI depot is looking for our next route driving rockstar. Our commercial truck drivers have a schedule that consists of 4 10-hour shifts throughout the week. The start time can be anywhere between 3 am and 6 am. This is a local route, so you'll be able to be home every night. Our drivers have a starting hourly rate between $32-34 per hour.

Drivers are paid weekly, direct deposit on Fridays.

This position qualifies for a sign on bonus of $1,000. The sign on bonus will be paid out in two equal installments: first payment of $500 after 6 months of employment and second payment of $500 after one year of employment.

• Provide excellent customer service and relay any customer concerns to your manager in a timely fashion.
• Handle 2" to 3" hoses pumping out grease trap materials onto truck
• Clean area around tanks
• Operate box truck or pick up and drop off containers as needed
• Stay current on all Mahoney Safety trainings
• Maintain a good driving record within Mahoney acceptable standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
• Minimum 3 years of CDL driving experience with your CDL
• Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement (or willingness to get Tanker Endorsement prior to your start date)
• Good driving record. Safety risk rating within Mahoney acceptable standards
• DOT certified medical card
• The ability to lift, push or pull 100 lbs. on a repetitive basis

• Work outdoors in different weather conditions
• Exposure to used cooking oil and grease trap material odors
• Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas
• Handling grease coated equipment
