Roles & Responsibilities   Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and craft individualized, meaningful treatment plans
Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions focused on ADLs, mobility, and independence
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home modifications, and equipment use
Document progress clearly and timely to support continuity of care and quality reporting
Supervise and mentor COTAs and support staff when appropriate
Measure outcomes and adjust treatment plans to ensure measurable improvement
Qualifications   Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in Vermont or eligible to obtain Vermont licensure prior to start
Open to new graduates — enthusiastic learners with strong clinical reasoning encouraged to apply
Experience in acute rehab, inpatient rehab, or skilled nursing preferred but not required
Current certifications and clearances as required by facility (state licensure, background checks)
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education   Degree in Occupational Therapy (entry-level Master's or OTD preferred where applicable); new grads accepted
Knowledge & Skills   Skilled in functional assessments and therapeutic goal setting

Experience with ADL training, adaptive equipment, and splinting basics
Solid documentation skills and familiarity with rehab outcomes measurement
Ability to collaborate with PTs, SLPs, nursing, and case management
Comfort mentoring COTAs and contributing to a positive learning environment
