Position: Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Traveling Registered Nurse – ER, Newport, Vermont

Answer the call to serve on the front lines of emergency care as a traveling Registered Nurse in the ER, stationed in Newport, Vermont. This multi-week assignment is more than a job—it’s a chance to sharpen your clinical judgment under pressure, mentor peers, and bring comfort to patients at moments of greatest need. Beginning February 9, 2026, you’ll step into a fast-paced environment where every shift is an opportunity to make a real difference.

You’ll be rewarded with competitive weekly pay ranging from $1,891 to $1,957 and a guaranteed 36 hours per week, ensuring steady earnings as you expand your clinical repertoire. Designed to support dynamic professionals, this assignment offers scheduling that respects your time and expertise, with a clear pathway for recognizing performance and advancing your practice as you travel.

Newport sits amid Vermont’s natural beauty, where autumn forests blaze with color and winter blankets the countryside with calm. You’ll enjoy easy access to nearby lakes, green mountains, and scenic trails that invite recovery after intense shifts. In your downtime, explore the quiet charm of small-town streets, welcoming diners, and seasonal farmers markets. Vermont’s safety-first communities and pristine surroundings create a backdrop that balances the intensity of ER care with restorative moments.

In addition to all that Newport offers, this role can serve as a springboard to assignments in other locations across the United States, broadening your clinical exposure while keeping a home base in a region you love.

Role specifics and benefits

In the ER, you’ll triage and rapidly assess patients, stabilize acutely ill individuals, administer medications and IV therapies, perform bedside procedures, and coordinate with physicians and the broader care team to determine disposition. You’ll monitor vital signs, interpret ECGs, manage traumatic injuries, perform wound care, and participate in critical code responses. This is a role that challenges you to think on your feet while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

The position offers abundant opportunities for professional growth within emergency medicine: you can expand your scope of practice, assume escalating responsibilities, precept new hires, and pursue certifications with company-backed support. You’ll enjoy competitive benefits, including a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and extension opportunities that reward continued excellence. The program also provides comprehensive support—24/7 assistance from a dedicated travel nurse team, access to clinical educators, and a flexible framework designed to keep you safe, focused, and thriving while you travel.

Onboarding and ongoing resources help you integrate quickly with local teams while maintaining your core standards of emergency care.
