Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Newport, Vermont. The assignment starts on 07/27/2026 and requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document changes.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist physicians during treatments.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical conditions or surgery.
• Document patient information, vital signs, medications, treatments, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Prioritize care for multiple patients based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Enforce infection control practices and hand hygiene.
• Advocate for patient needs and preferences.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow‑up resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• One year of recent Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience.
• Valid RN license in Vermont.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

• NIHSS certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required.

• Proficiency in PC skills and ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment, push, pull, and bend (50‑100 lbs).
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel.
• Technical/motor skills to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and move about during procedures.
• Mental ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and maintain concentration on detail.
