American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg/PCU night shift position requiring VT or compact license and 5+ years of experience.

• Work in a 25-bed critical access hospital setting
• Combined PCU/Med-Surg/Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule of 7p-7a
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Floating to other units required as needed

• Active RN license (VT or Compact) required upon acceptance
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required
• Critical access hospital, PCU, and Telemetry Med/Surg experience preferred
• Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties

• Perform charge nurse duties as part of standard responsibilities
• Located in Newport, Vermont, a small town in the Northeast Kingdom near the Canadian border
• Area offers outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
• Personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transit
• Required to attend department quarterly education sessions
• Support provided throughout transition to the new community and role
