QualificationsGeneral responsibilities for all store team members include:
- Operate delivery equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facilities daily.
Training:
Orientation and on‑the‑job training will be provided.
Communication
Skills:
Ability to comprehend written instructions, communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers, and process orders over the phone and in person.
- Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
- Provide correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Demonstrate motor coordination for rapid and precise movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outdoor tasks.
- In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler areas to 90°F or higher in some work areas.
- Sudden temperature changes inside and outside.
- Exposure to food odors and cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
- Ability to talk and hear on telephone.
- Near and mid‑range vision required for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Distinguish between hot and cold surfaces.
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, function under stress, meet strict quality control standards, interact with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
