Renewables and Gas Engineer

Salary Details: £40,000 Guaranteed Basic Pay + Job Based Incentives OTE £52,500 + Van with Fuel Card

We're recruiting an experienced Gas Engineer to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering energy-efficient heating solutions across social housing. This role is ideal for a gas engineer looking to work alongside renewable technologies and develop skills in a future-focused sector.

You’ll install and maintain gas appliances and central heating systems while supporting the wider shift towards renewable and low-carbon solutions. Working in occupied properties, you’ll ensure all installations and repairs meet the highest safety, quality and customer service standards.

• Install and repair gas appliances and renewable systems safely and efficiently
• Deliver high-quality, customer-focused service in social housing environments
• Ensure full compliance with Gas Safe regulations, legislation and best practice
• Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams supporting renewable installations
• Maintain installation time frames while achieving a high-quality finish
• Participate in an on-call rota when required

• CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent)
• Unvented hot water qualification (desirable)
• Energy Efficiency qualification (desirable)
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Confident using PDA/mobile systems

• Minimum 3 years' experience in gas installation
• Experience in Heat Pumps and renewable products
• Social housing experience preferred
• Experience working directly with residents
• Full UK driving licence
• DBS check required
  
  Interest or exposure to renewable or low‑carbon technologies advantageous
