About Us

We are a recruiting for a reputable building contractor delivering high-quality property maintenance services on behalf of a leading Housing Association. Due to continued growth and the ongoing success of their void property contract, we are looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join their team.

The Role

Working on a dedicated voids contract for a Housing Association, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of repairs and refurbishment works to bring empty properties back to a lettable standard within agreed timescales.

This is a hands-on role requiring a strong all-round skillset and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship and excellent service

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-trade repairs and maintenance in void residential properties
• Complete works including (but not limited to):
• Carpentry (doors, skirting, kitchen repairs)
• Basic plumbing (tap changes, sanitary ware replacement)
• Patch plastering and making good
• Tiling repairs
• Painting and decorating
• Bathroom and kitchen fitting
• Ensure properties meet lettable standards and client specifications
• Work efficiently to meet turnaround deadlines
• Maintain high standards of health and safety
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with tenants and housing officers
• Accurately complete job reports and paperwork

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative in social housing or void properties
• Strong carpentry skills (essential)
• Good all-round trade knowledge
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• Full UK driving licence
• CSCS card (preferred)
