Commercial Vehicle Mechanic

O'Hanlon & Farrell Contracts Ltd is looking for a reliable and experienced Part-Time Commercial Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Newry.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, diagnosis, and repair of:
Fleet vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes On-site plant and equipment Routine inspections and preventative maintenance Fault finding and repairs MOT preparation to ensure vehicles meet all required safety and roadworthiness standards Ensuring all work is completed in line with current Health & Safety legislation and DVA standards, maintaining vehicles and equipment to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and roadworthiness.

The Ideal Candidate Experience working on commercial vehicles up to 7.5 tonne Mechanical qualification or relevant industry experience Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently Full driving licence (HGV licence an advantage but not essential)
