C. £40k £45k  Van Tech Met are recruiting for a 4 DAY A WEEK Service Engineer for a client based in South Down. This is a full-time, permanent, field-based role covering Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and occasional travel to GB. The role offers a four-day working week, Monday to Thursday, with Fridays off, while working a full 40-hour week.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and repair of treatment plant on customer sites. The role will include:
Installation and commissioning of equipment Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Breakdown and fault-finding work Servicing and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment Wiring, testing and commissioning Working with pumps, dosing systems, dewatering equipment, instrumentation and control panels The majority of your time will be spent out on customer sites, with workshop time varying depending on workload. Workshop activities will mainly involve wiring, testing and commissioning.

Working Hours & Overtime-The standard working week is 40 hours, Monday to Thursday, 7:30am6:00pm.

Overtime is paid at time and a half after 45 hours have been worked in a week. Any hours worked over 45 hours will therefore be paid at the overtime rate. Friday work is occasional and would attract the applicable overtime rate. Salary & Benefits £45,000 basic salary, depending on experience Company pension: 5% employee contribution, matched at 5%, giving a combined contribution of 10% 230 hours holiday entitlement, consisting of 11 statutory days and 12 floating days that can be booked throughout the year Fully expensed company van Fuel and work-related expenses covered £70 staying-away allowance/bonus when required to stay away overnight Hotels paid for when staying away Full training on the company's treatment technology Private health insurance What You'll Need Electrical or mechanical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Practical competence across both electrical and mechanical disciplines Previous field service or maintenance experience on automated industrial plant Strong fault-finding skills Experience working safely on three-phase systems up to 415V Full driving licence, with no more than 3 points Willingness to travel and stay away overnight when required This is a hands-on role suited to a multi-skilled electro-mechanical engineer who enjoys working in the field and wants the variety of installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and breakdown work.
