Your new role An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Plasterer to join a maintenance team delivering planned and responsive maintenance works across educational facilities throughout the Greater South Down area.

The successful candidate will work on a long-term public sector contract carrying out a variety of plastering and repair works within occupied school environments. This position is ideal for an experienced plasterer seeking stable, long-term work across a varied portfolio of educational properties. The role offers the opportunity to work within a professional maintenance team delivering essential repair and refurbishment works that help maintain safe and functional learning environments.

What you'll need to succeed

Key Responsibilities Carry out all aspects of plastering work including:
Skimming Patch repairs Rendering Dry lining Boarding and partition repairs Prepare surfaces for plaster application. Repair and maintain internal and external wall finishes. Complete works to a high standard ensuring minimal disruption to building users. Undertake associated maintenance tasks as required. Accurately complete job documentation and records. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures and site regulations. Maintain a professional and courteous approach when working in educational environments.

Essential Criteria Time-served Plasterer or relevant trade qualification. Previous experience in maintenance, repairs, or social/public sector property environments. Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively. Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements. Good communication and customer service skills. Mandatory Requirements Due to the nature of the work within educational premises, successful applicants must:
Be eligible to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Access NI Check. Hold a valid CSR Card. Hold a Full Driving Licence. What you'll get in return Company work van provided.
