Night Porter

Location

Set on the upper reaches of the River Teign, the 24‑bedroom Gidleigh Park enjoys an exquisite location on the very edge of Dartmoor National Park in Devon. The hotel offers free on‑site parking and a service charge that goes into an employee pot. The pot averages around £395 per month (≈£4,750 per year) over and above base pay for a full‑time employee.

As a Night Porter you will keep the hotel and its guests safe overnight.

Experience in a similar role is preferred.

• Keeping the hotel and all of our guests safe overnight.
• Compliance is important, meaning you’ll keep on top of the nightly audits.
• Answer any questions guests may have overnight.
• Ensure a handover so that day staff know what happened overnight.
• Keep the hotel looking perfect for our guests; a little tidying overnight is essential.
• Assist the restaurant team by laying out the restaurant for breakfast.
