Workshop Engineer at Linde Material Handling – a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment.

We are seeking skilled Workshop Engineers to join our team in Newton Aycliffe. This role is instrumental in maintaining and repairing a wide range of material handling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on Linde forklifts and other state‑of‑the‑art material handling equipment.
  • Perform pre‑delivery inspections, diagnose and rectify faults, and undertake preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records using Linde’s latest technology.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support while fostering strong relationships at the depot.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience as a vehicle technician, mechanical engineer, forklift technician, plant fitter, or similar role.
  • NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and within a team.
  • IT proficiency and familiarity with technical record‑keeping systems.
