Salary Information

$19.40 per hour.

Job Summary

Part-Time Temporary Specialized Clerical Support – Admissions & Recruitment to provide district-wide student recruitment and admission services for credit students.

Essential Functions

Provide information and assistance to prospective students via telephone and email regarding all aspects of the admissions cycle.
Communicate alternatives for completion of admission requirements.
Monitor the Admissions and Campus Tour phone line and email accounts to assist prospective students and with scheduling appointments when necessary.
Greet prospective students and guests as they visit campus.
Process incoming high school and college transcripts.
Process incoming mail for the department.
Enter program change forms, changes of address, and other manual requests.
Work the Daily Web Report for new applications.
Cross train with full-time staff on program entry requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.
Two years of student records or general office experience. (Postsecondary education in any field may substitute for up to 1 year of the required experience. Fifteen semester hours are equivalent to six months of experience.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds.
Knowledge of current software applications.

Desired Qualifications

Work experience in higher education.
Customer service experience.
Bi-lingual preferred.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday. Hours to be determined, between 10:00am – 2:00pm.
