Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is searching for Welders. As a Welder you will use drawings or work orders with semi‑automatic and mechanized welding equipment to fabricate and repair wind tower sections. You may also be required to inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and perform routine preventative maintenance of equipment. Weld Process Certification Training is provided for eligible candidates.
Job Location: Newton, IA
Rate of Pay: $24.12/hr
Responsibilities- Proficiently perform welding on wind tower sections.
- Maintain attendance within acceptable standards.
- 1 year welding experience in GMAW, FCAW, SAW, or SMAW.
- Read tape measure, general tool usage including hand tools, torches, and grinders.
- Read, write, and speak proficiently in English.
- Follow directions and effective interpersonal communication.
- Team player, flexible, adaptable, strong work ethic, and problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non‑production areas and plant grounds.
- May require work/maintenance coverage beyond normal hours, shifts, weekends, or holidays.
- Ability to tolerate high and low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
- Observe all safety practices, including safety glasses, boots, hearing protection, and other required gear.
- Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
