Finishing Utility

Position Title: Finishing Utility
Wage: $17.00/hour
Shift: 1st or 2nd
Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm

Newton, IAThis is a temporary assignment expected to last through December, though it may end earlier depending on production needs.

Responsibilities

• Support machine operators by keeping production lines supplied with materials
• Load cases into the auto packer and hand pack cartons as needed
• Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications
• Verify carton and case counts and ensure finished products are properly stacked and labeled
• Operate a powered industrial vehicle (PIV) to move materials as needed
• Maintain accurate production documentation following standard operating procedures
• Report equipment or quality concerns to supervisors immediately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive production environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must follow all food-grade manufacturing and safety requirements, including PPE guidelines
