The Logistics Technician is responsible for receiving materials (ingredients, packing material, chemicals, etc.), putting together orders, and shipping finished product. Attention to detail, strong computer skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be essential in maintaining the efficiency of Shipping & Receiving. Due to the nature of our business, the Logistics Technician may do multiple tasks throughout the day/week. They are expected to contribute where and whenever needed, including any task throughout production.

And Duties
  • Operate safely and appropriately in all AgCertain situations and environments
  • Ability to demonstrate a basic and continuously increasing understanding of the shipping and receiving process
  • Become familiar with product lines, both retail and wholesale, to contribute effectively to shipping and receiving efforts
  • Safely load and unload pallets of shipping supplies and food products; inspect incoming packing materials, ingredients, and processing aides
  • Demonstrate proficiency in packing Direct-To-Consumer orders according to picking instructions
  • Process and fulfill orders accurately and according to schedule
  • Monitor inventory of product (including product on QA hold) in Packaging/Shipping coolers and assist with conducting inventory
  • Be able to use handheld scanners; scan and verify lot numbers with pick lists
  • Apply box and pallet labels accurately
  • Maintain a clean dock and staging area
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and recordkeeping as required by Quality Assurance to maintain traceability accurately and in a timely manner
  • Undergo Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training and be able to comply with Occupational Safety policies and GMPs in the production process; perform sanitation duties in accordance with SOPs, Food Safety and GMP compliance
  • Participate in all company trainings
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree from two-year college/university/tech school in a related scientific or technical field is preferred; high school diploma or GED equivalent level certification with proven reading, writing, clearly legible handwriting, computer, inter-personal communication and mathematics skills required
  • Physical abilities to include the ability to lift 75 lbs (34 Kg), ability to spend 8+ hours on feet and/or standing in place
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Business Central is preferred
  • Previous experience with computers and related technology require
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate internally and externally with customers and vendors
  • Act with humility, honesty, integrity, and a commitment to safety
  • Abide by Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of the facility
