JOB SUMMARY:The Registered Nurse (RN) Staff Development Coordinator, in collaboration with facility leadership, is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the facility's education, orientation, competency validation, and staff development programs in accordance with federal regulations, Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL) requirements, and facility policies. This position ensures that all employees receive appropriate training to provide safe, high-quality, resident-centered care while promoting regulatory compliance and continuous quality improvement.
The Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the Iowa-approved Nurse Aide Training Program in accordance with Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL), Iowa Administrative Code, and federal regulations (42 CFR §). The instructor provides classroom instruction, laboratory skills training and clinical supervision to prepare students for successful completion of the Iowa Nurse Aide Competency Examination and employment as Certified Nursing Assistants.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Must hold current Registered Nurse (RN) with applicable state, without restrictions, and/or ability to obtain state-specific license
- Meets Iowa qualifications to serve as a Nurse Aide Training Program Instructor.
