Maintenance Technician
We are seeking skilled Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and handling electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on production and mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
Responsibilities- Use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform various maintenance tasks.
- Determine causes of operating problems in areas such as plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic industrial equipment.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including motors, conveyors, pumps, paint equipment, material handling equipment, gearboxes, overhead cranes, and other mechanical components.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and repairs on equipment ranging from single-phase 240v to three-phase 480v.
- Perform tack welding (stick or MIG) for minor repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLCs, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), AMUs, CPUs, etc.
- Proficiency in electrical wiring and schematic reading.
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and troubleshooting.
- Capability to work with three-phase 480v and single-phase electrical systems.
- Competence in using blueprints and schematics.
- Expertise in welding, fabrication, and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, motors, and gearboxes.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Electrical and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to read schematics and other prints to perform repairs.

Work EnvironmentOpportunities are available on both 1st and 2nd shifts, with standard shifts consisting of four 10-hour days and occasional five-day weeks. 1st shift runs from 6am-4:30pm, and 2nd shift from 5pm-3:30am, with potential for extended hours during busy seasons or equipment downtimes. The production environment may feature varying temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant. Candidates should be comfortable working at heights as needed and may be required to work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays, based on equipment needs.
JobType & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Newton, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $70000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
