We are currently seeking a Housekeeping/EVS Technician at NMC Health
. In this role, you will play an important role in the health and safety of patients. You will use your commitment to quality and attention to detail every day as you ensure compliance with medical standards for cleaning of patient rooms and other care giving, public and office spaces. The Housekeeping/EVS Technician position includes:

• Traditional janitorial tasks like mopping and dusting
• Requires an understanding of proper handling and disposal of biological waste
• Have contact with patients, family members and employees
• Strong communication, confidentiality and customer service skills are key
• Clean and maintain assigned areas in and around the hospital to ensure a neat, sanitary and safe environment.

• High school graduate or equivalent desired
• Age 15 or older is acceptable
• Prior housekeeping/environmental services in a healthcare setting is a plus

• Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service to all customers including others on the environmental services team, employees throughout the facility and external customers.
• Ability and willingness to follow written and oral instructions.
• Quality and speed needed for this position.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or more, stoop, bend, stand and walk for an 8-hour shift or longer. Will also need to climb ladders and clean windows.
