We are currently seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our Wound Center team. In this role, you’ll provide expert care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, supporting healing and improving patient outcomes through evidence‑based practice.
As an APRN in the Wound Center, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive assessments and individualized treatment plans while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You’ll utilize strong clinical judgment and communication skills to manage complex cases and ensure high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Performing comprehensive patient assessments for acute and chronic wound conditions
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
- Managing complex wound care cases, including diabetic ulcers and surgical wounds
- Promoting optimal healing outcomes through evidence‑based practice
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring continuity of care
- Master’s degree from an accredited school of nursing required
- Graduate of an accredited advanced practice nursing program required
- Five years of clinical nursing experience required
- Prior wound care experience preferred
- Knowledge of advanced professional nursing theory, scope of practice standards, and legal/regulatory requirements for advanced practice nursing
- In‑depth understanding of evidence‑based practice and its application to patient care
- Knowledge of current nursing research design, implementation, and evaluation within the specialty area
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced clinical environment
- Advanced knowledge of pharmacology
- High level of skill in utilizing appropriate oral and written communication with clients, physicians, nurses, and other staff
- Expert skill in diagnosis and treatment of individuals, families or communities, including but not limited to interviewing and counseling clients
- Current APRN licensure in the State of Kansas required (in good standing)
- Current registered nurse license in good standing in the State of Kansas
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support
