We are currently seeking a
Register Nurse (RN)/Employee Health Specialist
for
NMC Health
.In this role, you will apply your clinical skills, your sharp reasoning skills and your caring demeanor in services to others in this role. The Employee Health (EH) Specialist is about promoting health and safety to all employees by facilitating the Employee Health (EH) program and supporting the infection control program. Elements include disease detection, prevention and treatment; follow-up on employee illnesses and injuries;
conducting employee health screenings;
Work Comp case consultation and promoting a safe work environment. It s a terrific role and one where you can definitely make a positive impact on our fellow healthcare partners. This position is salaried, exempt and the person in this role reports to the Director of Human Resources.
This is a part-time (Parent Shift - no early morning or late nights) day position:
Monday - Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience
- ADN/BSN degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school of nursing or diploma in nursing required
- Three years experience working in healthcare
- Previous experience in some aspects of employee health and/or infection control preferred
- Excellent communication skills are required
Licensure, registration and certification:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Kansas
- Certification in CPR/Basic Life Support

- Ability to perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities in an organized manner;
- Interpersonal relationships with the ability to get along with diverse personalities and ability to be tactful, mature, and flexible;
- Reasoning, problem-solving, making effective decisions and using sound judgment;
- Time management with the ability to work independently and take initiative;
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; and
- Ability to use tact, diplomacy and professionalism in all aspects of the position;
- Ability to organize clinics (vaccine/fit testing) as needed;
- Computer keyboard and basic computer operating knowledge required.
