This position delivers specialized cardiac and critical care nursing in a CCU setting, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. It supports both experienced nurses and new graduates, fostering growth and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:Monitor, assess, and manage patients with acute cardiac conditions
Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments
Operate and interpret cardiac monitoring equipment, telemetry, and critical care devices
Respond quickly to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions
Document patient progress and communicate changes to physicians and the team
Educate patients and families on cardiac care, recovery plans, and preventive measures
Mentor new graduates with hands-on guidance in the CCU setting
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted
Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
You're a Kansas-licensed RN with BLS and ACLS. You have experience monitoring acute cardiac patients. You enjoy mentoring new graduates in critical care
