Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Newton, MA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, Mon–Thurs)

A fast-growing, private-equity–backed consumer packaged goods (CPG) company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This role will join a strong team and have the opportunity to make an immediate impact. The company is experiencing 25% year-over-year growth and is on track to reach $500M in revenue by 2026, with a national footprint and in-house manufacturing operations.

  • Year 1: 10 extra remote days annually
  • Year 2+: 20 extra remote days annually
• Free onsite parking

• Base salary: $55,000–$60,000 (flexible up to ~$70,000 for a strong fit)
• Bonus: 5% target, with documented history of payouts up to 200%

• Manage monthly customer billings
• Maintain accounts receivable aging and lead collections efforts
• Post and apply daily cash receipts
• Analyze and process trade deduction adjustments, including:
  • Trade promotions and allowances (discounts, rebates, coupons)
  • Slotting fees
  • Damaged or short goods
  • Operational chargebacks (delivery issues, compliance penalties)
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and improve AR processes

• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
• CPG industry experience strongly preferred, including hands-on trade deductions
• Experience supporting companies with manufacturing and large retail customers
• Net Suite experience a plus
• Strong Excel skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-growing environment
