SENIOR ANALYST ROLE DESCRIPTION
Asymmetry Group is a small yet rapidly growing strategy consulting firm helping the world’s leading biotechnology, digital health, and medical device companies commercialize innovative therapeutics and technologies.
RoleDuties & Responsibilities
- Supporting strategic client engagements including secondary research, analysis/insight generation, Excel modeling, narrative storytelling through PowerPoint slides and Word memos, actively participating in client meetings and workshops, and leading portions of strategic work streams.
- Supporting project management activities on behalf of clients: cross‑functional launch support, milestone tracking, dashboard and report development, strategic workstream support, running individual client meetings, and ad‑hoc support of strategic initiatives.
- Supporting internal initiatives, including thought‑leadership article development, onboarding new members, planning internal lunch & learns, etc.
- Playing an integral team member role across all responsibilities, including proactive communication and coordination, ownership of tasks, and stewardship of Asymmetry’s culture.

- 1–3 years of prior work experience at a major strategy consulting firm or a smaller life‑sciences consulting firm.
- Mastery of technical consulting skills – developing client‑ready storytelling slides, creating usable Excel models, using project‑tracking software, delivering robust secondary research, and strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the life‑sciences industry.
- Deep intellectual curiosity and a willingness to work with ambiguity and manage time across multiple projects.
- Experience working effectively as part of a team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with clients through email, virtual meetings, and in‑person engagements.

- Able to travel for client meetings locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (business, economics, biology, etc.).
- U.S. work authorization to work at Asymmetry Group without additional or future sponsorship.
- Desire for a hybrid work environment, with the team in‑office Tuesday‑Thursday and optional work‑from‑home on Monday and Friday, subject to client commitments.
- Candidate located in the Boston, New York, or Philadelphia areas (primary office is in Newton, MA; smaller offices in midtown Manhattan and the greater Philadelphia area).
The annualized salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $130,000, plus an incentive bonus. The actual base pay may vary based on qualifications such as skills, knowledge, total experience, and education. The role may also be eligible for other compensation such as health benefits and a 401(k) plan.
