Summer Family Engagement Intern
A Summer Family Engagement Intern supports school-community connections by coordinating summer programs, assisting with family outreach, and planning transition events. Key elements include logistics support, communication, and resource tracking.
Duration:
July – August (approx. 20 hours/week)
Compensation: $18/hr
Key Responsibilities:- Family Outreach & Communication:
Help draft, translate, and distribute newsletters, welcome packets, and surveys to incoming and returning families. - Data & Logistics:
Maintain logs of family contacts, event attendance, and feedback responses to help evaluate summer programming effectiveness. - Resource Navigation:
Compile local health, food, and academic support directories to connect families with community programs.
- High School Diploma
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities; bilingual skills (such as Spanish or local home languages) are highly preferred.
Competency:
Comfort working with diverse student and family economic backgrounds.
Administrative Proficiencies:Familiarity with basic office software, spreadsheets, and digital communication tools.
