Essential Duties

  • Support and thoughtfully monitor social-emotional and behavioral programs for Early Childhood–Grade 4 students
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, partnering to strengthen classroom practices that support emotional regulation, executive functioning, and positive behavior
  • Provide targeted small-group and individual interventions, using observation and data to guide planning and track growth
  • Work directly with students to build emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, resilience and self-regulation
  • Serve as an engaged member of the Lower School Student Support Team, working alongside learning specialists and administrators to ensure consistency and alignment
  • Communicate and collaborate with families in a supportive, partnership-oriented way, bridging connections with additional resources, while maintaining accurate and confidential documentation
  • Other duties as required and assigned
Job Requirements
  • Master’s degree required; preferred in counseling, psychology, social work, education, or a related field
  • Deep knowledge of child development and child psychology
  • Experience supporting PreK–Grade 4 students in a school-based or clinical setting
  • Knowledge of MTSS, SEL frameworks, and developmentally appropriate behavioral interventions
  • Familiarity with positive behavior supports, trauma-informed practices, and restorative approaches
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic school environment
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practice
