Overview
Ensemble Schools is seeking a piano instructor to teach part-time in-person with At Your Door Music in Newton, MA. This teaching position is in person and in students’ homes in the Wellesley, Weston, Newton areas and surrounding towns. Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed; consistency is valued and greater availability is preferred. The instructor will travel to family residences and thus must have a reliable mode of transportation.
Responsibilities- Teach piano in students’ homes in the specified areas.
- Coordinate availability within Ensemble’s open hours; strive for consistency.
- Maintain punctuality and professional conduct in all sessions.
- Travel to family residences with reliable transportation for in-person lessons.
- Pass a routine background check.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
- Strong music background evidenced by a degree in performance or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
- Appreciation for punctuality and reliability; ability to pass a routine background check.
Pay range: $36–$40 per hour. Options include employee status, liability insurance coverage, and a 401(k) program with employer matching after 90 days on the job. Mileage reimbursement is provided. Health insurance options are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.

At Your Door MusicAt Your Door Music is a traveling music school offering 60-minute one-on-one lessons in the convenience of students’ homes. We offer piano, guitar, voice, drums and other instrument lessons to children ages six and up and cater to all levels including beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Adults are welcome as well.
