Schechter Boston is looking for an EEC Certified Floater Teacher to join Gan Shelanu, our Early Childhood Program immediately. The ideal candidate will have experience and a love for working with children. We are looking for someone who can create a nurturing and exciting environment for young learners.
Job DutiesAs a floating teacher you will have the opportunity to work in several different classrooms throughout the school. In addition, you will:
- Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children
- Develop activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of children
- Clearly and effectively communicate with children, parents and staff
- Supervise children at all times
- The ideal candidate must be warm, nurturing and passionate about working with young children
- EEC certification required, preferably Massachusetts EEC Director I or II certification
- Bachelor’s Degree and background in education/early childhood education preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience, preferred
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds
- Hours:
Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3:30PM - Salary is $42,000-$75,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
